Ashburn
Ashburn sits in eastern Loudoun County along the Route 7 and Dulles Greenway corridors, between Leesburg and Sterling. It is unincorporated, which means Loudoun County provides building permits and inspections. Its housing is mostly planned-community single-family homes and townhouses built from the late 1980s onward, and it is where Roofing Roughnecks completed the full roof replacement shown on our projects page.
Nearby communities we serve
- Sterling (Loudoun County): Ashburn's neighbor to the east, where we have completed full roof replacements.
- South Riding (Loudoun County): south of the Dulles Greenway.
- Aldie (Loudoun County): to the west and southwest.
- Herndon (Fairfax County): where Kenney Construction is based.
Why the county matters
Ashburn, Sterling, South Riding and Aldie are all in Loudoun County, so permit questions for roofing work there go to the Loudoun County Department of Building and Development. Herndon is an incorporated town in Fairfax County, and permitting works differently there. When we write a scope, we account for which jurisdiction the house is in.
The wider Roofing Roughnecks service area
Roofing Roughnecks serves Herndon, Reston, Great Falls, McLean, Vienna, Ashburn, Sterling, Aldie, Oakton, Chantilly, Centreville and South Riding. The main Roofing Roughnecks site lists every community and the projects completed in each.
